History

Since 1978, when the first Toastmasters club was founded in Vienna, numerous men and women have been helped to become more confident in front of an audience.

Toastmasters became more and more popular in Vienna and so the Vienna Toastmasters Club 551 grew bigger and bigger.

The idea of Toastmasters is to improve public speaking skills by constantly speaking in public. To guarantee that every member has the possibility to speak in the meetings the optimal  membership base is 20 - 30 members per club. When the Vienna Toastmasters Club 551 passed this limitation in 2008, the members decided to split into 2 wealthy clubs and the Vienna Speakers Club was born. Upon founding the Vienna Speakers Club developed to be equally successful and wealthy.
